Meet in front of PCB&E (Pressed), 215 Lincoln Avenue, Youngstown, 44503, at 8:30 AM, on the campus of Youngstown State University (YSU). After brief pre-ride announcements, wheels will roll at 8:40 AM. Our ~10-mile, leisurely, urban ride will explore YSU, Wick Park, Stambaugh Auditorium, the Mercy-St. E‘s Health Complex, Downtown Y-town, and then we’ll return to Pressed for optional beverages, food, and/or conversation. Canfield Experimental Farm
Meet at Canfield Experimental Farm at 10 AM. Ride approximately 45 miles at a mid-moderate pace with a lunch stop in Lisbon. Main route down will be Lisbon Road and bike trail. Expect two steep hills on route down and one coast that might go as fast as 40 MPH. Do not pass stop sign, do not get run over. Return by way of bike path and Washingtonville Rd. Remember it was repaved last year. No ride in rain, temperatures over 95 degrees or high winds.

Meet at Kirk Road trail for a slow and easy ride on the trail. Let‘s head towards Niles for a drink at Cadence Coffeehouse and Creperie. There is an 18-mile round trip from Kirk Road, an option for additional miles if anyone is interested. Pace is slow and easy.

Poland Township Administration Building
Ride of 25+ miles at high moderate pace starts at 10:00 at the Poland Township Administration Building. We will ride on recently paved Dobbins Road and Clingan Road (among others) and view numerous signs (no doubt purchased with tax revenue), informing us that tax revenue was used to pave the roads. On Friday morning, 9/20/24, 7:30 am, we will meet, at Juny Cafe. In case of a small parking lot at the cafe, there is an adjacent Walmart lot that can accommodate more vehicle parking. After some brief announcements, our wheels will start rolling at 7:40 AM to begin this leisurely and mostly trail, ride. We‘ll wend our way through the shopping center parking lot, over to Wilcox and Fairview Roads, and then to the Mill Creek Metroparks Bikeway (MCMB) and head South to Route 224, in Canfield. On the way back, we will ride through the Stonebridge neighborhood, reconnect with the trail, and head back to Juny for optional beverages, food, and conversation. This ride starts early for anyone who may have to get to work afterwards. Juny opens at 6:30 AM, in case anyone needs their coffee beforehand (me!!). Bring your laptop and work remotely, if possible! Montour Trailhead - Mile Zero

Join us for the 22nd annual Gateway Engineers Tour the Montour on Saturday, September 21!The Tour the Montour is a noncompetitive, family fun bicycle ride on the trail, with ride lengths between 2 and 62 miles and anywhere in between. Courtesy of the UPMC Health Plan, the first 50 children under 16 who sign-up online with an adult receive a free registration. Rest stops on the Tour will provide fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, granola bars, water, and Gatorade. Registration includes a post-ride picnic lunch at the Forest Grove Sportsmen‘s Club (at about mile marker 1.5). There will be basket auctions, silent auctions, and six great raffle prizes including a $700 Trek bicycle, a Wilderness Voyageurs recreational package (a $560 value) and $500 gift cards.
Come on out and enjoy an exhilarating ride on the region‘s top trail, rain or shine. The trail is over 60 miles of greenway – an elongated park – with wildlife and beautiful scenery. Depending on the ride length you choose, you may pass through 2 tunnels and over the 970-foot-long McDonald Viaduct. You don’t need to be a member to participate, but Montour Trail Council members do receive a discount when signing up online. If you are not a member, you can sign up for a membership before registering. Register before September 1 to receive the lowest price and a commemorative t-shirt! Kent State University-Trumbull Branch Campus
"Remember NHU" is a nonprofit organization committed to ending child sex slavery through prevention. There is a 5K Run, 5k Walk, 15,30, and 50-mile bike ride. This event starts and ends at the Kent State Branch in Warren. Bike Rides start at 8:00 am, Run and Walk starts at 8:30am.
Cost is $25.00 for Run and Walk and $40.00 for bike events, family pricing is available.

Meet in parking lot behind the Mespo township hall on Rte 534. Parking lot is more easily accessed from side than front. This will be a mid-moderate ride of approximately 35 miles. There will be a meal break at the only place to eat in Rock Creek/Roaming Shore.
